Auditing and Compliance

The Renewable Energy (Electricity) Act 2000 and the subsequent Renewable Energy (Electricity) Regulations 2001 outline the requirements of the Large-scale Renewable Energy Target (LRET) and the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES).
The Victorian Government introduced the Victorian Energy Efficiency Act (2007) that outlines the requirements of the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target (VEET).
As a registered agent with both Government regulators, Rect Traders must ensure all certificates created adhere to all compliance requirements in the respective schemes. We need to conduct frequent audits of claims, either at the time of your submission or after the fact.
Here are some reasons why an audit may be requested:

  1. To ensure the system has been fully tested;
  2. To ensure the address noted on the assignment form is correct;
  3. To confirm the serial numbers of the installation;
  4. To confirm all safety standards were met.

Generally all audits will request photo evidence; It is highly recommended that you take photo evidence at the time of installation of all serial numbers and of the system to avoid the need to return to site.
